Very good kitchen, staff is extremely friendly, but extreme prices for the hotel rooms.

A relaxed and cozy place the hotel was in top condition and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Never had such a good schnitzel. I can only recommend a fast bus connection to Aachen. All in all it was very nice.

Very tasty and super friendly

The owner was very unfriendly, complained about Corona and the minimum distance and tried to pass the failure of our own staff on to us. The waiters could not remember the table numbers for your orders. Otherwise, I can't explain why we were constantly being supplied with pils, even though no one ordered pils. The chairs are too narrow for overweight people. Getting up is an act of strength. I had ordered a councilor's pot. The food came in a brass pot, the salad, 3 leaves and a couple of bean sprouts on an extra plate that was much too big. I had saved myself the trouble of shoveling and ate straight from the pot. The food was delicious.

Food was very good. The lady who walks through the rooms is only responsible for compliance with the Corona rules. Because while serving, she had no idea. On the part of the boss you should make sure that only qualified staff are allowed for the guests.

Are there often to eat. Always satisfied, very friendly staff and good value for money 👍👍

We celebrated our 86th birthday very relaxed. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice and everything can only be recommended.

Hotel was fine. Staff were usually friendly. Not special, room was clean and bathroom was small but good shower. TV did not work with us and we did breathe because you smell the kitchen a bit.

Nice family run hotel. The rooms are a bit old, but clean and tidy. There is no elevator. Nice staff in the restaurant, food selection and quality are very good.

Restaurant is highly recommended. Price / performance is top for this quality. Rooms are clean. When I'm in Würselen for work, it's always in Mennicken.

The hotel is located at the gates of Aachen. From here, a city tour to Aachen can be easily realized. A bus stop is in front of the house. The rooms are functional and clean. The restaurant belonging to the hotel offers an extensive memory card at moderate prices and lots of regional cuisine. Theme weeks are part of this.

Absolutely good food. Prepared delicious, served appetizingly and served hot. However, the service is even better than the impeccable food. The waiters here are an ornament of their profession and, unfortunately, an extinct species. Attentive, extremely polite and charming. No one would ever wait for you to call them or leave a glass empty. A perfect service that you can hardly find these days. Absolute recommendation!

About the restaurant: very delicious German food. Surprised us very positively at the price! The cutlets were of really good quality. The bread dumplings with the red cabbage were also very good.

It was sooo delicious !!!!! The staff very friendly, it takes a while until the food is served, but there is a little something as a bridge and maybe a salad from the buffet, which is unfortunately not on every menu. Goodbye until next time 👍👍 ..... Today at breakfast I was a little disappointed 😶 the rolls, the sausage, the cheese there is nothing to complain about, juices very good, coffee in abundance, great room, but unexpectedly quiet and calm. The staff seemed a bit drowsy, but friendly. The disaster was the scrambled egg. It did not just look unappetizing ... it was.

Great original German variant of bowling called "Kegeln" (ninepins) here. Friendly, helpful and patient staff, clean and cozy.

Excellent quality hotel for a reasonable price. I stayed two nights and enjoyed good food at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was included in the room rate. The room was very comfortable and quiet. There were two restaurant areas including one at the side with large windows. Outside were many beautiful flowers. The staff were helpful and kindly spoke English with me.

Highly recommended; deserves 6 stars. The experience begins with abundant parking for your car. It continues with an easy check-in with the host/hostess showing you to your room. It continues with the charming little bierstube with a selection of several beers on-tap. And it finishes with a very capable kitchen serving a wide variety of tasty German classics. All the essentials are there: parking, WiFi, breakfast with made-to-order eggs, and clean and comfortable room. Lots of attention to detail and there's very little that goes missing here. Germans are reserved but they warm up quickly when you make the effort. The courtyard, we learned, was surrounded by plants of many varieties (each labeled) grown by the owner who once actively exhibited his plants at shows. We noticed business people and vacationers staying at the hotel - it seems to be a valued and trusted home-away-from-home for those who've been there before. Of the six hotels we've stayed at on this trip this one is our favorite - by a long shot. We will return to Hotel Mennicken if ever we return to the Aachen area.
